How does a knitter go visiting during the Christmas season? With their knitting, of course, packed in their bag. During these holidays, I have been working on a sweater using a pattern from the book Icelandic Knits. The patterned part of the neckline is finished, and from here on it’s simple stockinette stitch — you just let your fingers do the work. At the same time, you can chat away; the festive bustle doesn’t interfere with knitting at all. The sweater pattern is called “Sydänmaa”, designed by Niina Laitinen. Now Christmas is over, and I have just started on the second sleeve.

By the last day of the year, this beautiful garment will certainly be finished. Wishing you successful knitting as well!
